Conditions

ELIGIBILTY:

  • You must live, work, or go to school in one of the following Brentwood Boroughs: Blackmore, Brentwood, Childerditch, Doddinghurst, Fryerning, Great Warley, Haverings Grove, Herongate, Hook End, Hutton, Ingatestone, Ingrave, Kelvedon Hatch, Little Warley, Mountnessing, Navestock, Pilgrims Hatch, Shenfield, South Weald, Stondon Massey, Warley, West Horndon, or Wyatts Green.

SUBMISSION DETAILS:

  • Self-tape submissions can be uploaded from Saturday 16th March 2024 via brentwoodsgottalent.co.uk.

  • Groups & Troupes must send submissions en bloc.

  • Submissions will close on Tuesday 30h April 2024.

  • Late entries will not be accepted.

  • Contestant entry is free.

ACT DETAILS:

  • Groups & Troupes: Act duration cannot exceed six minutes.

  • All other applicants: Act duration cannot exceed three minutes.

  • All timings must be strictly adhered to as this may affect entry.

SELECTION PROCESS:

  • The Brentwood’s Got Talent team will select acts from the self-tape submissions and notify those chosen for the Live Judges Auditions by Saturday 11th May 2024.

  • The Live Judges Auditions will be held at The Bardswell Social Club on the evening of Saturday 8th June 2024. You must be available for this date.

CONTESTANT GUIDELINES:

  • All contestants under the age of 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult.

  • Entry forms for contestants under 16 require a parent's signature.

  • Competitors' ages will be taken from the date of entry submission.

LIVE EVENTS:

  • If appearing in the Live Judges Auditions, you may bring up to two people to support you.

  • Spectator tickets will be on sale for the Live events at thebardswellclub.co.uk.

  • Dance acts must be able to work within a floor area of 6.5m by 5m.

  • All other acts must be able to work within a stage area of 4.5m by 3m.

NOTIFICATION AND SEMI-FINAL/FINAL DETAILS:

  • The Brentwood’s Got Talent team will select acts from the Live Judges Auditions and notify those chosen for the Live Semi-Final by Saturday 15th June 2024.

  • The Live Semi-Final will be held at The Bardswell Social Club on the evening of Saturday 29th June 2024.

  • The Live Final will be held at The Bardswell Social Club on the evening of Saturday 13th July 2024.

  • You must be available for the above dates.

  • The running order will not be changed; failure to appear at the specified time could result in forfeiture of entry.

  • Competitors are required to be at the venue one hour before the event is to start.

  • Teachers are responsible for their students' behaviour at all times.

  • No visible coaching is allowed.

  • The winners of Brentwood’s Got Talent will receive a trophy and certificates.

GENERAL CONSENT:

  • Photography and videography will be taking place during all events and may be used for social media and general publicity. By signing these Terms and Conditions you are giving your consent.

  • Any personal recording or photography should be focused on your own children (if under 16).

  • Performances using music from shows in current production are subject to copyright law.

  • The organiser accepts no liability for any item of equipment or clothing etc. which may be damaged or stolen during the competition.

ORGANISER’S DISCRETION:

  • The Brentwood’s Got Talent Team reserves the right to refuse any entries and all decisions will be final.

  • The organiser reserves the right to change, alter or combine parts of the programme as necessary.
